Start With a Big Breakfast
If you find yourself always running late in the morning like most people, well make sure you wake up earlier than usual. Breakfast is definitely one of the most important meals of the day. Consider it the fuel that keeps you going through most of your workday. A good healthy breakfast will ensure that you do not get hungry late until lunch. Moreover, make sure you add a good variety of fruits, a whole grain like oatmeal in there to make sure it is a wholesome meal. Just snacking on a doughnut or a slice of toast does not make your breakfast nutritious.
Drink Enough Water
While working the one thing most of us forget is sipping on water. We may have a coffee cup constantly at our elbow, but what we need to have instead is a bottle of water. Coffee and tea are diuretics and can drain your body of water. You need water to make sure you are hydrated if you don’t believe us know that your brain is about 90% water, which makes it crucial for you to drink enough water. It is also known that drinking enough water through the day can help stave off headaches. Also, ensure that you are drinking water at room temperature instead of cold water for most benefits.
One of the biggest binges we do during the day is snacking on pre-packaged processed foods. Be it chips or fries, we seem to always find something to snack on that is totally unhealthy. If you feel like snacking during late afternoon or early evening, keep a packet of dry fruits handy. These will not only provide you energy but are also full of nutrients. If you want to change things up, try and carry a small pack of cut up vegetables like carrots and some greens to help you tide through the hunger pangs. While these may seem a pale replacement for fries and chips, they are definitely a far healthier option.
We often tend to eat less during meal times and compensate by snacking on junk food. When you are sitting for meals make sure that you eat enough to ensure that you are not feeling hungry at least for the next couple of hours. Plan your meals in a way that they are providing you everything from all the major food groups. Having a lopsided meal will often leave you feeling either bloated or underfed.
