  1. Tell us more about yourself.

I would describe myself as a person who is the bridge to the gap between the so called gone world and the modern world, in a sense that I like talking about all the modern advancements in lifestyle, gadgets, technologies and on the other hand I remain grounded to the cultural and moral values being imparted by my parents and elders. I believe the best way to adopt modernization is to happily accept what’s trending and even firmly believe in what was being taught as a part of your upbringing, after-all those are the core values which define you as a person you are today.

I am an Engineer by profession, an amateur shutterbug, a traveler in long weekends, a writer by interest,  a profound dreamer(since I am a Pisces), a cook at leisure and an anthropologist at heart.

  1. What in your opinion is the healthiest habit you posses?

 I believe the healthiest of habits I possess is that I have put a FULL STOP to gulping down tea/coffee/milk in any break I get from my work, and replaced it with liters of water every time.

  1. Thanks a lot for that. Now, if you really had to look up to someone at work for his/her wellness ideas and how well they can pursue it, who would you name and why?

 I look up to my ex-teammate and colleague Manoj Gupta( Zoojoobe wellness  champ September Month), his idea of replacing the snacks with dry fruits and fresh fruits is one thing I would definitely try to take up as a habit.

  1. What in your opinion is a perfect kind of lifestyle?

I believe the perception of ‘perfect’ is variable and cannot be zeroed in to a single set of definition, it drastically differs person to person. Taking lifestyle in the context of daily routine, my opinion of a perfect lifestyle is to wake up early in the morning, take a stroll(if not jogging), meditate, listen to music, work diligently  at workplace, give time talking to your family members, eat healthy and repeat. I know there’s much more to perfection, but I would end up my list here only because I strive to do at least this much everyday, and end up not doing this seldom.

  1. What does work life balance mean to you? Your interests beyond work and how do you find time to pursue them? What is the typical kind of stress-buster for you?

Work-life-balance to me means that work should be such that when there’s work, one should put his heart and soul to it, but when friends or family calls you either in emergency or casually, you are always there. Work should be a duty and family should be the top priority.

  1. Who is your greatest inspiration in life and why?

The greatest inspiration in real life is my Mom. I have always tried to be a subset of her in terms of the values she possess, but have to compromise only with a small fraction since there’s oceans and oceans to learn from her be it love, be it life, be it misery, be it merry. Mothers are the greatest of powers God has ever created.

Apart from that I am also inspired by Infosys  co-founder N.R. Narayana Murthi in my professional life. The facts that he drives his own car, he cleans his own toilets, he lives in a small 2bhk  house inspite of being an highly influential personality, says it all how culturally and morally sound a person he is. If life gives me a chance I would try meeting his once.

  1. How is helping you handle all your health goals? We’d love to hear a few nice words from you about🙂

Zoojoobe with its interesting and fascinating app is doing an excellent job in promoting health consciousness, especially to IT techno-people who need it badly. You participate in their challenges and dares, compete with colleagues, over-shine their efforts, emerge victorious and end up being rewarded for the efforts you put for yourself. What better idea can one suggest rather than this.

  1. What is that one hobby that you really enjoy doing? Have you missed it dearly or do you actively do it everyday? Please share pictures of those as well.

I really love capturing nature through my lens, i do it actively but since past one month I am unable to give it time.

  1. What gives you the push to do the things that sometimes maybe difficult for you?

It is my mirror, trust me it never lies to you, unlike your mothers. No matter what much weight you gain, you will remain a malnourished child the moment you see them after a long while….just kidding. But on a serious note, mirror has been my greatest inspiration, it tells you where in your body you are going wrong, and I try to mend it accordingly.

  1. Do you have a personal goal that motivates you to get fitter?

Talking about my health goals I would like to compare myself to sensex, in the manner that we both show abrupt ups and downs in our curves. Haha!

  1. If we asked you to motivate one person to be healthier/fitter what exactly would you tell him/her?

The idea to motivate one person for fitness will be to drink 4-5 liters of water a day, and see the changes over a span of month. The effects can be better noticed on their face, since water eliminates all toxins from your body and keeps you healthy and energetic all day long.

  1. Can you tell us a little about the amazing cuisine of your hometown?

Well, if you talk about food in Lucknow, every lengthy description falls short of the true essence of eating delicacies in this city. There are umpteen cuisines both for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The World famous Tunday Kababs are the city’s identity across the globe, it simply melts in your mouth leaving you praising the taste. The chaat of Lucknow, especially the basket chaat is the latest trend in the snacks market not only in the adjoining areas of Lucknow, but also the other states. Makkhan Malai, faluda kulfi, Lucknowi Biriyani are some other few delicacies  .If there is one thing which defines the Nawabs and their existence till now, it is their cuisine. To get a real essence of this, take a visit to Lucknow ASAP, trust me it’s a foodie’s paradise.

  1. Can you also tell us about the amazing holi celebrations of Mathura?


 It is in the suburbs of Mathura that the love life of Krishna and Radha sprouted and grew. Legends say that Krishna was jealous of her fairness and used to complain about his ‘dusky’ face to his mother. It was only to balance the skin tones of each other that he used to throw colors at Radha and paint her face with multiple colors.

Apparently, the entire city is full of holi huddang. However, for ‘the original Mathura Holi’ you must land up in Barsana and then visit Nandgaon, Braj and Vrindavan. Spend a day in Barsana and get a feel of the platonic flirtations of Radha Krishna. Folks from Nandgaon come with colors to Barsana and paint the women here. The women too, reciprocate, and try to defend themselves by playfully beating these folks. Visit Nandgaon the next day as women from Nandgaon visit Barsana with colors. Vrindavan and Braj host Holi in the temple premises where the priests shower blessed holy water(of course colored) on the revelers.

  1. When are you planning to start sharing your amazing stories through a blog?

I have long been planning to do so, but failed miserably. I think I should make it my New year resolution, hope it works well!

  1. What’s your favourite comfort food/ holiday destination?

Among all the places i visited, I love Goa a lot. I find great comfort visiting Goa relaxing by the beaches and sipping on the drinks and eating till sunset. My ideal comfort food destination is my home, the place where your eternal appetite is quenched  irrespective of what you eat.
