Eat healthy

A no-brainer, eating healthy is the first step towards having healthy eyesight. It not only keeps your entire body healthy but having specific types of foods can help you better your eyesight. Orange-coloured, or citrus fruits as well as vegetables like carrot contain beta-carotene, a type of vitamin A which boosts eye health and protect vision. Leafy greens decrease the risk of macular degeneration and cataracts as they have plenty of antioxidants in the form of lutein and zeaxanthin. Other food items like eggs, citrus, berries and almonds also have constituents which help in reducing the risk of macular degenerations and cataracts.

Visit your ophthalmologist (eye doctor) regularly

The saying ‘assumption is the mother of all screw-ups’ stands correct for your vision as well.
