If you have an office job, wait… of course you have a job that’s the reason you are reading this. How foolish of me! While working it becomes difficult to avoid the pitfalls of sitting and slouching. However, there are plenty of little tricks you can use to improve your posture gradually. Here are 4 simple tips to correct posture while at work.

1. Keep Your Back Straight

Keep your back straight, do you want to have a slouch back? How many times have we been listening to this since our childhood from our teachers and parents? Many times, right? But, we never paid attention to it. All we used to do was let it in from one ear and out from the other. Well, it didn’t end there; we would advise the same to our friends as well & consider ourselves smarter. Aah! We were so wrong!
Now that we are sitting at least for 9 hours in front of our laptops and experiencing the pain because of the slouchiness, we remember how they were always right.
Yes, I know you are slouching at this moment as well. We just never learn. You just straightened up, didn’t you? So, keep this correct posture all the time but in a relaxed way, not in a too tense manner.

2. We Humans are Designed for Movements; Move

Move it

Can we ever sit in one position without making any alteration even for 5 minutes, wait that’s too much; you’ve already changed your position twice at least since you started reading this article. Damn right, I know a lot about you.
So, keep that movement going! We humans are designed for movements not sitting for long periods of time unlike pandas. If the first thing that came to your mind after reading ‘panda’ is ‘food panda’, go and order some food because your mouth also needs some chewing movement.
Also, don’t sit with crossed legs either keep them flat on the ground or prop your feet onto something. Why? So, that you don’t affect your joints, knee and lower back.

3. Triceps Stretch

Note: You don’t need to necessarily stand up and perform this triceps stretch you can sit in your chair and do it as well, there is no harm in it. Or else you can even do this while walking around.
